Video subtitle translator
Burned-in subtitles, optional bilingual display, and a subtitle file download.
VidDub transcribes speech, translates it, and burns subtitles into the video. You can show one language or both. This is not a standalone tool for uploading an SRT or VTT file.
Recognition, translation, and display
After you choose a source language and a target language, VidDub transcribes the audio, translates the lines, and burns them onto the picture.
Bilingual subtitles show the translation and the source together. Single-language display shows only the target.
Style
Before processing you can set position (top, middle, bottom), vertical offset, text color, size, and background strength, with a live preview on a frame from your video.
Line-by-line script rewriting is not offered. Style is the supported editing surface.
Finished video vs subtitle file
The main output is a video with subtitles burned in. Workspace also has a subtitle download control.
The browser uses the fallback file name subtitles.srt. Internal workflow notes mention a ZIP package. Confirm the live response before treating a specific container or SRT-only export as guaranteed.
What is not supported
- Uploading an arbitrary SRT or VTT file to translate as a separate product.
- A full subtitle editor for rewriting every line.
- Translating videos from any YouTube or TikTok page URL. URL import accepts a direct http(s) link to a video file you have the right to use.
