How to translate a video with VidDub

The same steps as the iOS and Android apps, in the browser.

Sign in, upload or import a video you have the right to use, choose languages and subtitle style, confirm, wait, then download. Dubbing is optional after translation.

1. Sign in

Open viddubapp.com and sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple. Google on the website uses the same account as the Android app. Sign in with Apple uses the same Apple ID as the iOS app. Upload requires an account.

2. Upload or import

Choose a local MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, FLV, or WebM file up to 2 GB, or paste a direct http(s) link to a video file you have the right to use.

URL import is not a downloader for arbitrary YouTube or TikTok pages.

3. Source and target languages

Workspace opens automatically. Set the spoken source language and the target language. Traditional Chinese can be a target, not a source.

4. Subtitles

Choose single-language or bilingual display. Adjust position, offset, color, and size on the preview frame. Subtitles are always burned into the output video.

5. Confirm and process

Confirm the settings. Eligible short videos can use a free preview that does not use paid credits. Longer or larger files need credits (1 minute of video uses 1 minute of credit). Any fraction of a minute counts as 1 minute.

6. Download

When the job finishes, download the video, copy a short-lived link, or use the subtitle download control. Files are deleted after about 24 hours.

Free preview playback is about the first third. Full download, copy link, subtitles, and dubbing need credits.

7. Optional dubbing

After translation, pick a voice and generate dubbed audio aligned to the original speech timeline. See AI dubbing.
