Terms of Service

Welcome to VidDub. By using our website, iOS app, or Android app, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. To delete your account, see Account deletion.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using VidDub, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

2. Description of service

VidDub provides AI-powered video translation, including:

• Speech recognition and transcription
• AI translation to multiple languages
• Bilingual subtitle generation
• AI voice dubbing
• Video processing and export

A free preview may be available for eligible short videos. It lets you preview translation quality. It is not a free trial of the full paid product: preview playback is limited, dubbing is locked, and longer videos require paid credits. See Help.

2.1 AI models and technology providers

VidDub uses named third-party AI services for video translation, subtitle generation, and AI voice dubbing. Provider and model names are listed in English below. We only list providers we actually use for those jobs.

• Speech recognition and transcription: OpenAI Whisper (faster-whisper large-v3). Chinese source audio may use Belle-whisper large-v3 (a Whisper-based model). Vietnamese source audio may use ElevenLabs Scribe v1.
• Translation and subtitle generation: Microsoft Azure OpenAI (GPT-4.1).
• AI voice dubbing: Microsoft Azure Speech. Selected voices use Fish Audio.

These processors receive your audio, transcript, or translation only to complete the job you requested. We do not use your videos to train AI models. Providers or model versions may change when we upgrade the service; we will update this section when that happens. Retention and processors: Privacy Policy.

3. User accounts

• You must sign in with a valid account. On the website and Android you may use Google; on the website and iOS you may use Sign in with Apple.
• Google and Apple keep separate accounts and separate credit balances.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it updated.
• You may not share your account with others.

4. Payment, credits, and subscriptions

VidDub uses credits. A 90-second video uses 2 minutes of credit. Translation consumption is billed in whole minutes; any fraction of a minute counts as one minute.

Website: one-time credit packs are billed through Waffo. iOS App Store and Google Play handle in-app purchases and subscriptions. We offer pay-per-use purchases and recurring subscriptions as follows.

4.1 Pay-per-use

• One-time purchase of a fixed number of credits; credits remain valid until fully used.
• Pay-per-use balance is not cleared when a subscription billing cycle ends.
• Credits already used for translation are non-refundable.
• Eligible free preview jobs do not deduct paid credits.

4.2 Subscription (monthly / yearly, apps only)

• Each billing cycle grants a fixed monthly credit allowance.
• A billing cycle is 30 days from your subscription start date (or from the end of the previous cycle)—not a calendar month.
• At the end of each cycle, unused subscription credits for that cycle are removed and do not roll over.
• If you also have pay-per-use balance, that balance is kept across subscription cycles.
• Only one active subscription at a time. Subscriptions are sold in the iOS and Android apps, not in the browser checkout.
• Apple App Store subscriptions: payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation; the subscription renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage at https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions

4.3 Refunds

• Used credits are non-refundable.
• Refund requests for unused credits must be submitted through the platform where you paid (Waffo on the website, Google Play, or App Store) per their policies.
• Subscription refunds follow the policies of the platform store and applicable law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to upload, generate, request, or otherwise use VidDub to process:

• Content that infringes copyrights or other intellectual property rights
• Pornography, sexually explicit material, or other NSFW content
• Extreme violence, gore, or graphic injury
• Hate speech, including content that attacks or incites hatred against a person or group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, or disability
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual, exploitative, or otherwise unsafe content involving anyone under 18. Apparent CSAM will be reported to the appropriate authorities where required by law
• Deepfakes, cloned voices, or other synthetic media used to impersonate a real person without their consent, or to deceive others about a person's identity, speech, or actions
• Other illegal, harmful, or offensive content

You also agree not to reverse engineer or hack our systems, resell or redistribute the service without authorization, or upload malware. We may remove content, refuse a job, and suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without prior notice.

5.1 Reporting prohibited content

If you believe someone used VidDub to generate or process content that violates Section 5, report it by email to szsoftwell2026@gmail.com. This is the channel for copyright infringement, pornography/NSFW, violence/gore, hate speech, CSAM or other child-unsafe content, deepfakes/impersonation, and other prohibited generated content.

• The page URL, job, or a description of the content
• The Google or Apple account involved, if you know it
• Which category in Section 5 it violates
• Any evidence you can share (screenshots or links)

We review reports in good faith, typically within a few business days (sooner for CSAM or imminent harm). We may remove outputs, block further processing, suspend or terminate accounts, and preserve records for law enforcement. We may not share full investigation details with the reporter. For CSAM, we report to the appropriate authorities as required by law. Repeat or severe violations can lead to a permanent ban.

6. Content ownership

• You retain all rights to your original content.
• You grant us a limited license to process your content for service delivery.
• Processed videos are kept in secure cloud storage for up to 24 hours, then automatically deleted.
• We do not claim ownership of your videos or translations.

7. Service availability

• We strive to maintain 99% service availability.
• We may perform maintenance with advance notice when possible.
• We are not liable for interruptions beyond our control.
• Processing times may vary based on video length and server load.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VidDub, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the service
• Your violation of these terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Content you upload or process

10. Termination

• Account deletion: Account deletion.
• You may terminate your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting szsoftwell2026@gmail.com.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
• Upon termination, your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy.
• Unused credits may be forfeited upon termination for cause.

10.1 Account deletion

You can delete your VidDub account at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

• In the iOS or Android app: open Settings and tap Delete Account.
• Or email szsoftwell2026@gmail.com from the same address as your account, with the subject Delete My Account.
• We process deletion requests within 30 days.
• After deletion, your data is removed according to our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be notified through the product. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Shenzhen, Guangdong Province.
